Step 1:
Sign up to Ava bet here, completing the account verification process if required.
Step 2:
Deposit a minimum of £10 with a debit card. We suggest a higher deposit (£25), mentioned in our ‘Points to note’ on the previous page.
Step 3:
Qualify for the free bet offer:
Find a sports event, compare the odds on Ava bet, with the lay odds on a betting exchange for the same event. We recommend odds of 4.0 at a minimum as we want this bet to lose.
Choose the event where the win odds and lay odds are the closest - place £10 on this.
Lay the same outcome, staking the same as your stake on Ava bet.
By staking the same on both, you will either profit or break even from this step.

Total outlay of £10 + £40 = £50
If Birmingham win, our Ava Bet bet returns £46. Loss = £4
If Birmingham don't win, our Smarkets bet returns £50. Profit/Loss = £0
If your risk free bet wins on Ava bet, head to the cashier to withdraw at a small loss. If your bet wins on the betting exchange, this will qualify you for the free bet credits.
Step 4:
Only complete this step if your bet placed in step 3 has lost on Ava bet. You will be credited with a £10 free bet within a few days of your losing qualifying bet, check back every so often. Then follow these instructions:
How to use your free bet. These following steps are similar to step 3.
Find a sports event, compare the odds on Ava bet, with the lay odds on a betting exchange for the same event.
Choose the event where the win odds and lay odds are the closest - place your £10 free bet credits on this event.
Then, lay the same outcome on an exchange, staking the amount that will return the same as your free bet is set to return. Your free bet stake will not be returned on Ava, but your Ava and exchange returns must both still be the same. Use our free bet calculator here.
Your exchange lay stake will be the amount of profit you are set to make from the free bet.
Step 5:
After settlement of your free bet, head to the cashier to withdraw any winnings.
